TACLOBAN CITY — Senator Francis Tolentino expressed dismay over the controversial remarks of Vice President Sara Duterte to exhume and throw the remains of the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr. to the West Philippine Sea.
“Parang hindi magandang pakinggan sa kulturang Pilipino. (It seems that the statement is not good to hear considering our Filipino culture). Yung word spoken is not reflective of the culture and religious foundation the Filipinos,” he said in an interview in this city.

Article continues after this advertisementTolentino, who is a known ally of Duterte, however, declined to answer when asked if the meltdown of the vice president would warrant for her to seek some professional experts like psychologists as suggested by some congressmen.
In a recent press conference, Duterte, among others, said she told Sen. Imee Marcos, the elder sister of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., that she would dig and throw the corpse of their father at the Libingan ng mga Bayani and throw them to the West Philippine Sea if the attacks against her would not be stopped.
